I held out as long as I could. This weekend, I took the plunge and now – I’m officially obsessed. My in-the-know friend Barbara told me it’s something I had to check out. This was like six months ago.  Since then, I’ve heard about it here and there, and finally my {also in-the-know} sister insisted I sign up.

My new obsession?  PINTEREST.

If you are already a participant, let me know – would love to see your stuff! If not, you may just fall in lust with it like I have! {I’ve put together a Q&A to give you more info – see below for details.

First, a few cool Thanksgiving finds I “pinned”:

A neat way to display giving thanks at Thanksgiving {image: flickr.com}

Elegantly simple - love! {image: www.JillianHarris.com}

Love bringing nature indoors - especially when decorating for the seasons {image: MarthaStewart.com}

A naturally beautiful table that can be enjoyed later {my boys and I actually enjoy cracking and eating nuts like this!} {image: www.houseandgardenstyle.blogspot.com}

These are just a few of the MANY images I’ve captured and “pinned” on different boards, in the fabulous Pinterest. If you want more info, keep reading:

WHAT IS PINTEREST?

“Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.  People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and share their favorite recipes.” {from Pinterest.com}

Here is a sampling of boards I've created

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR PINTEREST?

Pinterest is currently invite-only. You can request an invite from us or you can be invited by someone who is already a part of Pinterest. When you receive an invite, you can register via Facebook Connect or connect through Twitter. {from Pinterest.com}

Would love to get you hooked, too!  Just send me your email address and I”ll get one to you. {My email:  angela@AngelaHarrisDesign.com}

IS IT DIFFICULT TO SET UP AND USE?

Very simple. You should be able to learn what you need from Pinterest’s very user-friendly Help section.  Also, I found this video that does a great job summing up what it’s all about:  “How to Pinterest” by Braid Creative.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

MONEY:  No.  TIME: Yes!  Especially if you become obsessed like me! {If you need my life organizing coaching to help with your addiction, more info is just an email away – and I can partner with you no matter where you live!  I’ve had to use my coaching skills on myself this past week! : )
